This recipe is really cool! It’s great on a hot summer day… the lady I got this recipe from served this to us one day after a hotly contested board meeting, and it definitely helped to cool us down. 🙂

Immer’s Summer Slush
1 lg. can frozen orange juice
1 lg. can frozen lemonade
1 c. sugar
1 sm. box cherry-flavored gelatin
1 sm. box strawberry-flavored gelatin
3 qts. water
1 1/4 c. water (hot)
Squirt soda
Mix gelatins and sugar. Add water and frozen juices. Stir ‘til gelatins and sugar are dissolved. Pour into a large freezer container. Freeze.
To serve: Scoop out frozen slush into a glass, pour Squirt (made by Schweppes) over and serve with a spoon.
NOTE: Please don’t flame me if you can’t find a vegetarian flavored gelatin for this recipe. I’m putting it out there for any and everyone who would like to try it. 🙂 But I did supply a link over on the right-hand side of the page for where you can find a substitute. 😛
