We really like coleslaw in our house, and it’s a nice addition to a lot of meals – burgers, casseroles, etc. This is a recipe I started making long ago – didn’t get the recipe from anywhere, although I know it has to be done this way by thousands. I just can’t imagine that I’m the first and only one to come up with this! LOL
1 pkg chopped coleslaw mix
1/2 c mayonnaise (approx)
2 to 4 T sugar (approx)
1 to 1 1/2 t celery salt (approx)
Mix the coleslaw mix with enough Miracle Whip to moisten all the mix (might not take full 1/2 c). Add sugar and celery salt to personal taste. Sprinkle with paprika on top after all mixed. Coleslaw releases moisture once it has set for a time with the Miracle Whip added. That’s why you do not add more – you want just enough to barely moisten and hold the mixture together. Otherwise it will be very runny. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
